To be radical about God
There is nothing wrong being radical about God!
Sadly I have experienced moments among believers when being radical about God was a bad or embarrassing thing!
In fact, being apathetic toward God is a bad thing and definitely embarrassing!!
Jesus gives an example of what happens when we stay apathetic toward God:
The seeds that fell by sideways where the word is sown, when they hear the satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.
The seeds likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterwards, when tribulation and persecution arises for word`s sake, immediately they stumble.
The seeds that are sown among thorns, they are the ones who hear the word and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for becomes unfruitful.
verse 20: But these are the ones sown on good ground, those are the ones who hear the word, accept it and bear fruit- some thirtyfold, some sixty and some a hundred.
What does it really means?
-Being rooted in God (previous post)
-To praise God in good and in bad
-Obey the word of God
-Fear the Lord
-Never be apathetic to God
-Always want what God wants
-Live in radical love of Christ
-Being guide by the holy spirit!
Another example of what it is like to be radical about God: King David.
King David did all of the above- He was completely rooted and depend on God, he was praising and blessing God in good and in bad, he obeyed, feared the Lord and never was apathetic toward God, even when being radical toward God sometimes seemed to the people surrounding him that he was crazy.
Remember that being radical is a good thing and that God wants you to be radical. It is something that people around you will be able to see!! and wether they accept it or not don`t stop being radical and passioned about God.
